Spezia is facing a medical emergency. Yesterday, the official bulletin of the Liguria Region published the call for the opening of the competition for the assignment of positions in the health professions. There are 36 vacant positions in the Spezia province, including: 17 in Spezia, 2 in Arcola, 3 in Castelnuovo, 2 in Luni, 2 in Sarzana, 2 in Bolano, and one position each in the municipalities of Ler, Pignone and Riccò del Golfo. The situation is critical and requires urgent action. Young doctors are few and not willing to take over. The shortage of doctors is a serious problem and requires immediate solutions.
